Dr. Brittany Marshall is a Behavioral Scientist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, specializing in HIV prevention, program evaluation, and implementation science. With over 15 years of experience in public health, she currently conducts formative research in behavioral and communication science and provides evaluation expertise for the CDC’s 'Let’s Stop HIV Together', the national social marketing campaign for the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. initiative and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. Brittany previously completed two competitive CDC fellowship programs, the Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) and the Evaluation Fellowship Program.
With a strong public service and leadership background, Brittany has served on the Executive Board of the American Public Health Association and is currently the Fundraising Co-Chair for BLKHLTH’s Board of Directors. She also serves as Programs Chair for the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP), having been involved in NULYP since 2008. Her local contributions to NULYP include past roles as President, Vice President, and Personal and Professional Development Chair of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals. Brittany has been a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., since her initiation in April 2006 through the Lambda Psi Chapter at the University of Florida. At present, she is a member of the Scholarship Task Force for the East Point/College Park Alumnae Chapter.
Brittany holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida, a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her accolades include the 2023 Atlanta Business Chronicle 40 Under 40, 2023 Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professional Volunteer of the Year, and 2020 NULYP Southern Region Outstanding Member of the Year, among others. She is also an alumna of leadership development programs like LEAD Atlanta, National Urban League Emerging Leaders, and New Leaders Council.
