
Technology Champion & Leadership Role Model
Tereance R. Puryear, a Logistics IT Product Analyst with XPO Logistics, is a native “Atlantan” with a strong commitment to service in the community. Currently serving as President of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and Urban League of Greater Atlanta Board Assistant Secretary, he drives the mission of “empowering communities and changing lives” through a dynamic group of 21-40-year-old young professional leaders. Since joining the Urban League family in 2009, Tereance has also served as Vice-President, Fundraising Chair, and Social-Cultural Co-chair.
Additionally, he serves as a Scout Leader with Boy Scouts Troop 100 at Best Academy, an advisory board member of The Scholarship Academy, and member of the Emerging 100 of Atlanta. He is a 2017 graduate of LEAD Atlanta, 2013 Fellow of New Leaders Council Atlanta, 2011 alumnus of United Way V.I.P. (Volunteer Involvement Program).
Tereance holds a dual-Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Logistics and Marketing from Georgia Southern University. Also, he earned his Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, bowling, softball and kickball. Tereance is a proud and active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
